Use it or lose it?

Recently I heard one of my family members use the term "Use it or lose it" That got me to thinking. God blesses us every day. Not only with material objects like a house, clothes, and food.  He blesses us with family, and gifts. Not material gifts, but talents.  As God personally designed blue prints for every one of our lives, he gives us options I believe, and whether we choose to follow out with those options or not are up to us. Some people he gives the talent to sing, some to write, and some to encourage.

It is not like every one is born great. God gives you the ability to do things, but you have to pursue them. Such as singing. If you never practice and just expect yourself to be a great singer, there is a big chance you won't get any were. If every one in the world just sat around and waited for things to happen, were would we be today?

I just want to get out there, and do what the Lord has sent me to do! :) Take care of the people around me, and love them like he would. Also, go out there and use what he gave me to glorify him :)

My best friend in the whole world!

Since I was two I have had the best friend any one could ever ask for. We have been through everything together, elementary, junior high, and high school. The MOST crucial time to have a BFF. Recently, I moved two states away from her. I now live in Idaho and she remains in California. It really sucks not having your best friend to hug when you and your boy friend break up, or your parents are being mean. It is just the simple stuff I miss the most. We were Inseparable, it was never just were is Jamie Or just were is Emily, it was always hey were is Jamie and Emily or vise-versa. We did all the same activities, she was my sister from another mister!  Well, she still is...

When we were in sixth grade we started doing musicals together that was the greatest, and every Friday night we had off we would go to the skating rink. 6th grade was one of the funnest years we had together. In seventh grade we did advanced choir together, and did that all the way through 8th grade. Then finally it was time for high school, the years we had been waiting for our whole entire life. We finally got to try out for the cheer team! Of course we both made it! We were some of the only tumblers, so we had a bit of an advantage. It was one of the happiest days of our life.

Next week Little did we know, I found out I was going to have to move to Idaho. It was like we had been living in a little fantasy bubble that had quickly been popped. I had to quite the cheer team, and pick up and leave my best friend.

Even though we are finishing high school in different states, there will be a happy ending to our story, when we both go to HSU together!!! :) I love you so much Emerlyy!!!!
Love Jamie :)

Life after the accident

As you know my sister Katie, her boyfriend Jake, and I were in a pretty intense car accident about three months ago. We have all come so far since then, but don't get me wrong life has changed quite a bit since then. First, we had to spend three weeks in Las Vegas with Katie just sitting there waiting and hoping she would wake up from this all. Then finally we got to go home after those three long weeks of torture, but still we just had to transfer to another hospital in Idaho. It wasn't till after two more long weeks of the waiting game till we actually got to take Katie home for the first time in a month, and a half. It was a very emotional thing for all of us. When you almost loose some one who plays such a large roll in your life it makes you look at the world a different way. God had spared all of our lives that day.

Now two months later we are all still moving on with life. We all go to counseling, just to get help to get over the painful memories of seeing a family member that way. Katie goes to counseling to try and help her get adjusted to how different life is, and how this accident did change her life forever. I am not saying all the change is a bad thing. This accident humbled us in a way that no other thing ever could. It really makes you think twice about taking life for granted, or fighting with some one you love, because you never know when God might need that person up above.

Blogging as of 2011?

Hi there! This year one of my resolutions was to start blogging. Why you ask? First of all, because I have a lot on my mind, and this is a good way to let it out, so I've heard. Second of all, because there is tons of stuff going on in my family, and it seems like everyone and there mother wants to know about it, so hey why not just write it all down, and save people the trouble of calling me. Lastly, I think it will be good to start writing down special events and thoughts that go through my mind.

So, I hope if you read my blogs, you find them interesting.

Love Jamie Tay.
